Queen Jessica the Fool

Queen Jessica the Fool was the 3nd ruler of the Libidine Dynasty from the years 5573-5580 (7 years).

Queen Jessica was a poor ruler, a jealous, paranoid, and proud ruler who believed herself to be a goddess. She was said to be very beautiful by those who looked upon her in her younger days, but this only made her extremely arrogant, and shortly after she became queen, her reign became more chaotic. She rarely took advice from advisors and seemed to make up facts as she saw fit, demanding her court bow down and agree to whatever she saidd.

In the year 5579, Queen Jessica the Fool declared that magic does not exist and forbid human priests from taking lessons from elves in the arcane arts. Three days after the proclamation, a mischievous elf transformed Jessica’s royal robes into silk lingerie during a public speech. She later ordered that her obviously false declaration be stricken from all royal historical records, but her command to forbid the teaching of magic remained and was selectively enforced for several years before being repealed, but by then few elves wanted to teach humans anyway.

Queen Jessica was arrested by her council in 5580 and locked away in a high tower "until she recovered from her affliction." Her sister, Queen Veronica the Builder, was summoned to Giusburg and proclaimed regeant, but after her first year in power when the council was supposed to see if Queen Jessica was fit to return to the throne, everyone just collectively agreed not to.

Jessica lived in obscurity for decades more and was still in her tower at the start of the Great Exile. Nobody knows what her fate was, but most assume she was captured and made a thrall when the demons picked over the depopulated Giusburg, or else starved to death first.
