The Great Exile

The Great Exile covers the months between the petrification of the human armies during the failed invasion of the demon empire and the closing of the Portal Gate at Niu Heym, essentially the timeframe of The Exile of Aphrodisia.

The exile saw the massive depopulation of humanity from Aphrodisia, decreasing the prewar human population of about 500,000[?] to only about 50,00[?]0. The remaining humans after the exile were those who scattered across the continent hiding from the demon thrall-taking patrols, were sheltered by other races, or maintained small settlements far the attention of the demons until the start of the Demon Civil War. Some humans stayed behind in Aphrodisia voluntarily while others founded themselves stranded after the closure of the Portal Gate.
