Dumat

The first and most venerated of the ancient dwarven Mountain Homes, the locations from which the first dwarves came into the world of Aphrodisia, Dumat now stands as the pseudo-capitol of the dwarven people. It houses the grand meeting hall where the council elects a king in times of need and where that king rules from for the duration of his reign. For this reason, each of the major clans keeps a garrison within Dumat, both to defend their representatives and the king, as well as to ensure that no one clan is able to hold power after their king's time has come to an end. Outside of its political importance, Dumat is also the most popular and populous of the already highly sought after Mountain Homes, meaning that it houses the largest population of dwarves in the known world.
