The Siege of Magan was a difficult two-year battle starting in 5653 and ending in 5655 with victory by the Coalition of the Free, an alliance of primarily dwarves and elves with a few wildpeople and even some vengeful humans and their descendents who had neither made it to Niu Heym during the Great Exile nor were enthralled by demons.

The siege was mainly fought by firing dwarven cannon, ballista, trebuchets, and other siege weapons. firing against Magan's walls and main gate, a process made tedious in that the demon defenders could repair the walls with their magic nearly as quickly as they could be damaged. Elves lent their prowess with their skilled archers, and their battlemages worked around the clock in shifts to try and dispel the walls' arcane defenses, as well as intercept incoming spells and curses from the demons and their allies within.

During the siege, many demons lead sorties against the defenders, many of which led to many besiegers themselves becoming enthralled and made to serve the defenders, manning the walls with their bows and crossbows, and occasionally a stolen cannon or two. The besiegers took many more losses as a result, and many more deserted to return back to their clan strongholds or villages to defend them against scattered demon raids looting and thralltaking virtually unopposed due to the Coalition of the Free focusing almost all of its force on capturing Magan.

The battle was largely one of attrition, ending only because the demons ran low on their stores of lustful essence, their magic weakening as a result. Not even the power of the Thirteen Queens could keep up with the constant bombardment and the main gate shattered, allowing the coalition to inside the city and capture it quickly.

Emperor Felatitius fled from the palace before the coalition could capture him and has since never been seen again.
